Kolkata Prepares for Uttam Kumar’s 100th Birth Centenary

Kolkata is gearing up for Uttam Kumar’s birth centenary celebrations in September 2026. The state has announced a series of commemorative programmes, along with plans involving Nandan and other cultural venues. A permanent exhibition dedicated to Uttam Kumar and Satyajit Ray is also maintained at the Cinema Centenary Building in Tollygunge.
